How to show VODC News on VS 2005 Start Page

Configuring Visual Studio 2005

Step1: Go to Tools menu and select "Options ...". In the Options dialog expand Environment in the treeview on the left side and then select "Start" (see hilited option in the German version of the dialog below)

Step 2: On the right side select "Show start page" from the upper combobox. In the next field you deteremine the news channel you want to "listen" to. To read VODC News as soon as they are updated enter: http://www.vodc.visualobjects.de/en/vodcnews.rss.xml. This is for the English version of the RSS feed (The image above shows the correct entry for the German RSS feed). That's all you have to do. And here's what you'll see when selecting the German RSS:
